After making the simply awful The Terror

After making the simply awful The Terror with Jack Nicholson for AIP, Karloff still owed Roger Corman two days’ work. Good night and good luck. What are some of your favorite films or books involving Dracula or vampires that you might recommend?Well, if I have to make a recommendation, I’d send viewers back to the first great vampire movie, “Nosferatu” from 1922.The amazing part of the Dracula myth is how it endures in so many forms, in so many variations. But it was the costume contest, judged by Girl Scouts from South Pasadena troops 9491 and 1511, that seemed to wag most of the tails. The latter was a sly marketing gimmick that worked in Karloff’s favor. But around 1940 he starred in a cluster of films in which his mad scientist carachter wasn’t mad at all, but was only trying to do what he could to benefit all mankind.Fairy tale.3. 'Working with Baz, he’s basically Wikipedia. What inspired and motivated you to create "Who Was Dracula? Bram Stoker's Trail Of Blood"?View slideshow: Jim Steinmeyer on 'Who Was Dracula? Bram Stoker's Trail Of Blood'I’ve always been a fan of Dracula, and I’d read the book as a boy.Green/eco-friendly.After making the simply awful The Terror with Jack Nicholson for AIP, Karloff still owed Roger Corman two days’ work.On set, too, it is DiCaprio about whom everyone is curious. What are you up to next project wise or book wise and are there any links you would like to share? Or any departing words? I have to check out your other book about Magicians as well.
