But it was the costume contest, judged by Girl Scouts from South Pasadena troops 9491 and 1511, that seemed to wag most of the tails. The latter was a sly marketing gimmick that worked in Karloff’s favor.But around 1940 he starred in a cluster of films in which his mad scientist carachter wasn’t mad at all, but was only trying to do what he could to benefit all mankind.Fairy tale.3.
